World Poker Tour to Make Historic Texas Debut at Doug Polk's Lodge Poker Club
The World Poker Tour (WPT) is set to make history by hosting its first-ever event in Texas. The inaugural WPT Prime festival will take place at The Lodge Poker Club in Austin from September 28 to October 13.
The Lodge Poker Club, co-owned by poker influencers Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme, is known for hosting large-scale tournaments. The venue has established itself as a premier destination in Austin’s poker scene, making it an ideal partner for the WPT’s Texas debut.
The WPT brand continues to expand digitally, with ClubWPT Gold and WPT Global. These platforms serve different regulatory environments and offer a global network of live events and online qualifiers.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
