Washington Tribes Launch "Bet on Your Self" Campaign to Combat Problem Gambling

The Washington Indian Gaming Association (WIGA) has launched a new initiative to advance and strengthen responsible gambling efforts in the state.

The campaign is called "Bet on Your Self" and seeks to strengthen consumer safeguards by ensuring that the association’s responsible gambling message reaches more people. The campaign is launched as a limited-time initiative, and it will be available throughout September, seeking to help bolster the state’s efforts in preventing gambling harm.

WIGA Executive Director Rebecca George has welcomed the opportunity to see the campaign launch in a bid to strengthen the state’s protections and ensure that more people are aware of the downfalls of gambling.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
