Uzbekistan Faces Surge in Fake Online Casinos Amid Gambling Boom
Uzbekistan is grappling with a rising number of fake online casinos that are exploiting the growing popularity of online gambling. Online gambling revenues in New Jersey increased by 129% in May 2020 compared to the same period the previous year. This trend has not gone unnoticed by cybercriminals, who have set up numerous unlicensed online casinos in the country.
These fraudulent platforms lure users with promises of large winnings, but to withdraw the supposed winnings, users are required to pay a commission fee. Once the fee is paid, the users are blocked from the platform, and their winnings disappear. To avoid detection, these fake casinos frequently change their domain names, servers, and even their brand names, allowing them to continue their illegal operations.
Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies have issued a stern warning to citizens, reminding them that all forms of gambling are illegal in the country and are punishable by law. Authorities are urging citizens to report any suspicious gambling platforms and to avoid sharing personal information with unverified sources.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
