US Opens Borders for WSOP Main Event: New Flights Added
The US will open its borders to 33 countries on November 8th, allowing fully vaccinated travelers to enter without quarantine. This change is set to significantly impact the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, as two extra starting flights have been added to accommodate the influx of international players.
The 33 countries include the 26 Schengen nations, UK, Ireland, Brazil, China, India, Iran, and South Africa. The WSOP has added two extra Main Event flights, Day 1E on November 8th and Day 1F on November 9th, to accommodate the new arrivals. Players must have received their final jab 14 days prior to their participation date and prove a negative COVID-19 test in the preceding 72 hours.
This development means there is no free day for those who run very deep, but on the plus side it should mean even more prize money in the kitty. The final table is set for Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
