Triton Series Main Event Concludes with Dramatic Hands and Big Wins

The Triton Series main event concluded with a $100,000 buy-in, attracting 99 entries and 34 re-entries. Jean-Noël Thorel and Talal Shakerchi led after the first day, setting the stage for an intense competition.

Linus Löliger joined the tournament on the second day, wearing a custom Triton shirt with K6 on the back, a nod to his previous hand against Sam Grafton. Löliger had a notable moment when he lost a preflop hand to Kyle Burns with a fourth pair. Henrik Hecklen also had a significant hand, calling a preflop mini-raise and losing to Kyle Burns with a full house.

Victor Kudinov and Victor Malinovsky were moved to a new TV table, where Arthur Martirosyan took the lead. Martirosyan led the tournament with 20% of all chips after a significant hand against Limitless. Victor Kudinov played a notable hand against Jean-Noël Thorel, who folded after a long consideration. Kudinov was eliminated in 16th place, and Thorel in 15th. Horace Wei doubled up on the bubble, wearing the same sweater as Sean Perry and Morten Klein. The final table was reached in just 5 hours, with 13 players remaining. Gregory Osy ended in 6th place, having previously finished 5th in a PLO tournament with a $25,000 buy-in. Punat Punsri won the main tournament and received a seven-figure sum. Phil Ivey won the Short Deck tournament with a $30,000 buy-in, and Karl-Shappe Gatien won the $40,000 buy-in tournament with 45 entries and 21 re-entries.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
