Tom Dwan Sets New Record with 1.1 Million Dollar Pot in Million Dollar Cash Game
The largest pot in television poker history was set during a Million Dollar Cash Game in London. The game featured Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Gus Hansen, Mike Matusow, Allen Cunningham, Patrik Antonius, and Tom Dwan.
Patrik Antonius won a pot of 500,000$ against Tom Dwan early in the game. But the real excitement began when only three players remained at the table: Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Patrik Antonius. The total amount of chips at the table exceeded 2.2 million dollars, with blinds at 1000$/2000$ and an ante of 200$.
Tom Dwan won the largest pot of 1,100,000$ against Phil Ivey. The previous record was set in the fifth season of High Stakes Poker, where Tom Dwan won a pot of 919,600$.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
