Steve Sung Wins WSOP Tournament #4 in Epic Heads-Up Battle
The WSOP Tournament #4 featured a high-stakes heads-up match between Steve Sung and Panaioot Vilandos. The tournament, which started with 6,012 players, saw these two professionals battle it out for the top prize.
Steve Sung, known for his loose-aggressive playing style, is one of the top young poker players in the world. Born in 1985 in South Korea, Sung has made a name for himself with significant wins and a career earnings exceeding $2,000,000. He is also a three-time finalist in World Poker Tour events, including the Spanish Championship 2007, Shooting Star Championship 2008, and Doyle Brunson Classic Championship 2008.
Panaioot Vilandos, despite his reputation as a 'fish,' is also an experienced professional. He won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 1995 in a pot-limit hold'em tournament, defeating notable players like Dewey Tomko, Howard Lederer, and Annie Duke. Vilandos has been to seven final tables at the World Series of Poker, with his highest finish in the main event being 21st place in 1996.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
