In a key hand, Stanislav Aliokhin won a significant pot with a flush draw. He held Ac Js on the big blind with a stack of 24,000 chips and called a raise from a late position player with a stack of approximately 20,000 chips. On the flop Kc Tc 8c, Aliokhin had a gutshot and a nut flush draw and checked. His opponent also checked. On the turn Ah, Aliokhin made a bet, received a re-raise, and after prolonged thought, went all-in. His opponent called with Kx Tx, but the river brought 2c, giving Aliokhin a massive stack of 54,000 chips.

On the flop Tx 4x 4x, after three checks, he made a bet and received a mini-raise, calling it. On the turn 8x, his opponent with Qx Qx made a large bet, and Aliokhin called again. On the river 3x, his opponent pushed all his remaining chips into the pot, and Aliokhin called once more. Later, he repeated this with a trip of twos. At the final table, Stanislav Aliokhin faced Eleon, one of the moderators of the poker forum CGM. Eleon lost an all-in with 4-4 against 8-8, and then his A-7 could not stand against 8-8 of Aliokhin. He was eliminated from the tournament in approximately the 5th place. In the heads-up, Stanislav Aliokhin had a significant chip lead: 480,000 against 180,000 of his opponent from Voronezh. After that, the heads-up continued for more than an hour and a half, Aliokhin gradually returned his chips, until his opponent again had about 170,000. At this point, they went all-in again, Ax Kx of Aliokhin against Kx Tx of his opponent, but a ten came and the stacks were even again. It was already around 5 am, the next day both were going to play in the main tournament of the Yalta Festival, so the opponents agreed to a deal. For the first place, they gave approximately 15,500$, for the second approximately 9,500$. The finalists split the prize money evenly, each receiving 12,599$.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
