South Korea's Casinos Reopen After Coronavirus Closure
Casinos around the world have suffered significant losses due to the coronavirus pandemic, with many forced to close during the lockdown. The first to close were the casinos in Macau, which shut down for two weeks starting in early February. Other notable closures included Dusk Till Dawn and King’s Casino, which remained closed for an indefinite period. Additionally, all casinos in Nevada were shut down indefinitely.
South Korea's Paradise Co Ltd is reopening its casinos in Seoul, Incheon, and Busan. Their casino in Jeju opened last week. Their main competitor, Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd, plans to open their casinos on May 6. It's important to note that only foreigners are allowed to gamble in these casinos; South Korean citizens are strictly prohibited from gambling in these establishments.
Kangwon Land Casino is the only casino in South Korea where locals can gamble, and it is set to reopen on May 4. South Korea has been one of the Asian countries most affected by the coronavirus outbreak, but it has managed to keep fatalities relatively low, with only 236 deaths reported.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
