Sky Bet Grants £600k to Community Schemes Across England and Wales
The Building Foundations Fund, initiated in 2023, has awarded over £600,000 to community projects linked to EFL clubs. This fund is part of a £6 million investment by Sky Bet over six years, aimed at enhancing community initiatives across England and Wales.
The funding supports a variety of projects, including programmes to tackle isolation and loneliness, improve fitness and mental health, increase sports participation, and enhance local football facilities. Notable recipients include Leeds United, which will invest in its ‘Social Goals’ programme to combat isolation among the over 50s. Morecambe will use the funds to purchase equipment for health and fitness sessions, while Wycombe Wanderers will finance a Level 1 coaching course to help reintegrate prisoners from Aylesbury Prison back into society.
Other beneficiaries include Sunderland, which will continue its ‘Wear Together’ project to boost activity levels among the over 55s, and Crewe Alexandra, which will expand its weekly football sessions for East European migrants and African asylum seekers.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
