Skrill Temporarily Blocks Visa Withdrawals, Plans 7.5% Fee
Skrill has temporarily blocked withdrawals to Visa cards starting February 7. The payment system plans to introduce a 7.5% fee for withdrawals to Visa cards starting February 14. Withdrawals to Visa cards will be available again with a 7.5% commission, except for VIP Silver and higher levels, who will remain free.
Skrill has made several changes recently that have affected its users. In October 2016, the payment system increased fees for withdrawals to bank accounts and Visa cards. In November 2016, Skrill stopped sending Skrill cards to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other non-eurozone countries. The cost of transfers between client accounts was also increased. Additionally, Skrill removed the ability to withdraw funds in USD.
Withdrawals to bank accounts are currently the only option, and withdrawals in dollars are not available. If your Skrill account is in dollars, you will incur a bank correspondent fee of $20-$25, plus Skrill's fee of €5.5 for Bronze users, and a conversion fee of 3.99%. If your bank account is in dollars, the conversion will be double: first, dollars from your Skrill account will be converted to euros, and then back to dollars in your bank. Even if you have two Skrill accounts, transferring from a dollar account to a euro account will incur the same 3.99% fee.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
