Poker Dealer Doug Caillier Shoved by Sammy Farha Loses Job
Poker player Sammy Farha was involved in an altercation with dealer Doug Caillier at Houston Social Cardroom. Farha pushed Caillier in the chest after Caillier stood up for a dealer change. Caillier posted on Facebook that he remained calm throughout the incident and tried to walk away, but Farha continued to pursue him. Caillier said he was suspended from his job and doesn’t expect to be asked back.
Farha has reportedly returned to the property despite initial reports that management had permanently banned him. Farha is known for his runner-up finish to Chris Moneymaker in the 2003 WSOP main event. However, he also has a reputation for abusing dealers, including an incident in 2021 where a dealer punched him in the face. Additionally, Farha fought with another player at Legends Poker Room in Houston in 2022.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
