Russian Poker Pros Shine in Warsaw EPT
The European Poker Tour (EPT) is currently underway in Warsaw, with 203 participants in the main tournament. The first two days of play have seen some impressive performances from Russian players.
Alexander Dovzhenko, a member of Alexander Kravchenko's team, ended the first day with a stack of 59,000 chips. He had a notable hand against Swedish player Peter Hedlund, where he turned a full house on the river to secure his chips.
Anatoly Gurtovoy, a member of the Joker team, finished the first day with 59,625 chips. He continues to be a strong contender going into the second day. Vitaly Lunkin, another member of the Joker team, has 127,700 chips going into the second day. The first place prize for the Warsaw EPT is 1,493,170 PLN, equivalent to 358,645 euros.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
