Robert Chorlian Wins First PGT Title in Thrilling PLO Tournament

Robert Chorlian's victory in the $5,300 pot-limit Omaha event marked his first PGT title, earning him $135,150 and 480 Card Player Player of the Year points. The tournament, held on September 26, 2026, featured 106 entrants and a total prize pool of $530,000. Chorlian's triumph was particularly notable as he started the final day as the shortest stack but managed to double up early and charge towards the victory.

Chorlian's path to victory included defeating some of the giants of PLO tournament poker. He outlasted Lautaro Guerra, who finished in second place, and Sean Rafael, who took third. Guerra and Rafael are among the most decorated performers in the format, making Chorlian's win even more impressive.

Chorlian also received 203 PGT points for his win, which counts towards the high-stakes-centric tour’s season-long leaderboard. The top 40 players at the end of the season, plus other qualifiers, can enter the $1 million PGT Championship. The current cutoff for 40th place lies at 900 points, though several players at or around that threshold have not hit other requirements to qualify, including four PGT cashes and one result in a PGT owned-and-operated event.
