Raúl Mestre to Lead Spain at European Nations Cup
Raúl Mestre will represent Spain at the European Nations Cup, a team match poker competition organized by the IFP. The event will take place in March in either London or Paris. The Spanish team includes Ana Márquez, Tomeu Gomila “Amatos”, César García “CesarSPA”, and Raúl Mestre. Juan Manuel Pastor is the captain and selector of the Spanish team.
The team will be completed by the top-ranked Spanish player from the Estrellas Poker Tour Madrid and an online player selected through a PokerStars.es promotion. Raúl Mestre previously won the individual tournament 'The Table' at the Nations Cup.
Mestre's participation in the European Nations Cup marks his second appearance representing Spain, following his victory in the individual tournament 'The Table' at the Nations Cup the previous year. Spain had a strong performance and narrowly missed winning the overall competition, but Mestre's individual triumph secured him the title of World Poker Champion by the IFP.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
