PokerStars Hits Millionaire Jackpot Three Times in One Month

PokerStars has had an extraordinary run of luck with its Spin & Go games, awarding three $1.2 million jackpots in less than a month. The latest winner, “Gwaugh1” from the United Kingdom, hit the jackpot on August 12, turning a $5 entry into a $1 million first prize. The odds of hitting the 240,000x multiplier are just one in 10 million, making this a remarkably rare event.

The first $1.2 million Spin & Go jackpot was awarded on July 17 to Denmark’s “dillerfar19” who turned a $5 entry into a $1 million first prize. The second jackpot was awarded on July 26 to Argentina’s “Anatsuk334” from a $5 Spin & Go. PokerStars has now matched the combined total of $1.2 million Spin & Go jackpots from 2024 and 2025 in less than a month.

Interestingly, the 240,000x multiplier was not normally part of the $5 game’s prize structure. The $1.2 million jackpot was a promotional addition rather than the standard top prize for that buy-in. Under PokerStars’ regular Spin & Go structure, the maximum prize at $5 is $50,000. PokerStars has now returned the maximum prize to $50,000, removing the 240,000x jackpot from its $5 Spin & Go offering.
