PokerStars Updates Spin & Go Prize Structure and Introduces Short Deck Format
PokerStars has announced changes to the prize structure of its Spin & Go tournaments, following a similar move by Winamax. Winamax replaced the x4 and x6 multipliers with x3 and x5, and the probability of the x2 multiplier decreased by almost 10%.
PokerStars also removed the x4 and x6 prize pools, replacing them with x3 and x5. The probability of the x2 multiplier, which was previously around 70%, has now decreased to approximately 40%. These changes aim to reduce the overall dispersion of the tournaments.
In addition to these changes, PokerStars is introducing a new format of Spin & Go tournaments with a short deck. The buy-ins for these tournaments will range from $1 to $30, similar to the Spin & Go Omaha format. This new format is expected to increase the dispersion of the tournaments.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
