PokerStars Raises £564,775 for Right To Play’s Big Sports Quiz
PokerStars, part of Flutter Entertainment plc, proudly sponsored the 2021 Right To Play Sports Quiz, held on 14 October at the Intercontinental Hotel in London. This marks the fifth year of PokerStars' support for the event, having donated over £2.2 million since 2014 through its corporate giving programme, Helping Hands.
The event, hosted by TV sports presenter John Inverdale, raised £564,775, more than double the amount raised in 2019. Over 400 guests and celebrities participated in an interactive sports quiz and various fundraising activities. PokerStars also auctioned off seats to a live poker tournament hosted by snooker legend Stephen Hendry, raising an additional £9,000 for the charity.
The funds raised could help over 18,000 girls return to school, supporting Right To Play’s mission to educate and empower vulnerable children. PokerStars annually donates £150,000 to Right To Play, further aiding their efforts to protect, educate, and empower children in challenging contexts.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
