PokerStars Brings Festive Fun with Two Christmas Promotions for US and Ontario

PokerStars has launched two Christmas-themed promotions for US and Ontario online poker players. The 25 Days of Tournaments promotion runs from December 6 to 30, featuring daily $25 tournaments with surprise formats revealed the night before. The Holiday Rewards promotion runs from December 8 to January 5, offering players a chance to win a share of $1,000 in prize money every week by playing 100 real money cash game hands.

Both promotions are available across the shared liquidity pool connecting Michigan and New Jersey and the segregated Pennsylvania market, as well as on the PokerStars Ontario network. The 25 Days of Tournaments includes daily $25 tournaments with surprise formats revealed the night before, creating an advent calendar-style suspense. The Holiday Rewards promotion offers players a chance to win a share of $1,000 in prize money every week by playing 100 real money cash game hands. Each player can earn a maximum of one ticket per promo week, giving everyone five chances to claim a share of the $1,000 prize pool.

PokerStars is the only operator in the regulated US online poker market to announce a Christmas-themed promotion. BetRivers Poker has also rolled out promotions, but none are festive-themed. WSOP, meanwhile, is running a New Year, New Bankroll promotion from December 1 to 8, encouraging players to earn more points during the promotional window and receive 25% back in free play. It has also scheduled a Winter Series from December 7 to 21 featuring 15 events, though it does not include any Christmas-themed promotion.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
