Poker News Roundup: Mobile Apps, Player Tweets, and More
Two websites, Open Hand Chinese Poker (OHCP) and Chinese Open Face Poker (COFP), are developing mobile apps for Chinese Poker. OHCP opened their Twitter account in late August and promised to release an iPhone client soon, but it has not been released yet due to delays from Apple. COFP released a free version of their app on October 31 and a paid version on November 20, which allows players to play with friends over the internet and Bluetooth.
Players on the GipsyTeam forum have complained that the COFP app's computer opponent is too good, suggesting it might be cheating. A tournament for Chinese Poker with open cards will be held at the WPT LA Poker Classic in late February 2013, with a buy-in of $1,500.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
