Poker Stars Doug Polk and Fernando Habegger Settle Legal Dispute

Poker personalities Doug Polk and Fernando Habegger have been involved in a legal dispute over contract breaches and defamation allegations. The dispute centered around Habegger's contract with Upswing, a popular poker training site.

Habegger received compensation for breach of contract but lost the defamation case. The arbitration decision was in his favor, with Upswing covering his legal expenses. Habegger accused Polk of spreading false information about the court's decision.

One of the key points of contention was the number of subscribers and revenue shares. Habegger was surprised by the lower-than-expected revenue report from Upswing in May 2018. He mentioned that Upswing did not inform him about the correct number of subscribers, which led to a discrepancy in the expected revenue. Additionally, Habegger stated that Upswing proposed a $50,000 settlement before the arbitration, which he refused.
