Poker After Dark Season Premieres with Star-Studded Lineup

The new season of Poker After Dark aired on January 12, 2011, featuring a strong lineup of poker players. John Juanda expressed his difficulty with the strong table lineup, which included Erik Lindgren, Phil Galfond, Hac Sid, Tom Dwan, and Phil Ivey.

Phil Ivey was voted the favorite by 2+2 users, with 116 out of 398 votes, closely followed by Hac Sid with 109 votes. John Juanda started his quest for the $500,000 prize with a successful bluff against Tom Dwan with 5d 3d. Hac Sid bet $100 that Tom Dwan would not eat the prop vegetables, which turned out to be real.

Phil Galfond successfully bluffed Tom Dwan out of a hand with 10-2. Phil Ivey proposed a new bet prohibiting the mixing of chips, with the first to violate paying $1,000 to the other two. John Juanda was eliminated from the game when his Ah Qc could not beat Tom Dwan's Kc 5c. Phil Ivey was the first to mix the chips and lost the bet. Phil Galfond became the chip leader after betting and calling all-in with Ac Ks against Tom Dwan's Ad 5d.
