Phil Hellmuth's WSOP Bracelet Hopes Dashed by Covid Diagnosis

Covid-19 Cases at WSOP
Hellmuth is not the only player to have contracted the virus during the WSOP. Several other players, including Rene Nezhoda and Justin Bonomo, have also tested positive. The WSOP rules state that they will follow local, state, and CDC guidelines relating to COVID-19, but there is no vaccination requirement to play in the tournament.
Justin Bonomo, who also tested positive for Covid-19, sat out of the WSOP until he received the all-clear. He shared his experience on Twitter, expressing gratitude for the vaccine's effectiveness despite contracting the virus.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
