Phil Hellmuth Sells Shares of His Buy-In for High-Stakes Poker Match
Phil Hellmuth is selling 10% of his buy-in, worth $20,000, for his heads-up match against Antonio Esfandiari. The match will be broadcast live on PokerGo on October 21st. Fans can buy shares of Hellmuth's buy-in for up to $250 each, with a 1:1 ratio, meaning a $1 investment could return $2 in profit if Hellmuth wins.
This is a generous move by Hellmuth, as poker players typically sell their shares at different ratios. Hellmuth prioritizes his fans' engagement over potential profit. The offer to buy shares is open until the start of the match or until all shares are sold; currently, 7.38% have been sold.
Hellmuth has won both previous matches against Esfandiari. Esfandiari will be attempting his third revenge match, with even higher stakes this time.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
