Partypoker's Latest Update: New Features and Technical Hiccups

Partypoker updated its platform on June 17, 2019, with significant changes to its game client. The update led to over 1,000 comments on the partypoker forum, with many users reporting technical issues and prize drops.

Ross McWater, head of partypoker's development department, acknowledged that the update took longer than expected due to the high number of accounts. He also mentioned that the new client was unavailable on Mac computers in several countries, requiring a patch the next day.

The update blocked the use of HUDs and other third-party programs for gathering information. All players had to choose new nicknames to prevent the use of previously collected information against them. Rob Yong, owner of partypoker, emphasized the importance of the update for creating a fair and secure gaming environment. The update introduced a new section called MyGame, which allows players to analyze their own hands and statistics. Rob Yong announced that over 50 new features are in development to enhance the safety of partypoker.
