Partypoker Powerfest: Professional Players Share Their Thoughts
The Powerfest tournament series will run from March 31 to April 14, 2019, featuring 250 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $25,500 and a total prize pool of $30,000,000.
Rob Yong, CEO of Partypoker, decided to move the Powerfest series to April to avoid overlapping with the WCOOP series. Roman Romanovsky, a professional poker player, plans to participate in all days of the Powerfest series except Fridays and Saturdays. Pavel Pleshuv, another professional poker player, appreciates the 8-max format of all tournaments in the Powerfest series.
Pavel Veksler, a professional poker player, suggests adding more prestigious tournaments with larger guarantees to the Powerfest series. Arseny Karmatsky, a professional poker player, notes that the Powerfest series has attractive guarantees on Sundays but less appealing ones on weekdays.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
