North Carolina Man Wins $1M with Lucky Number 7
A North Carolina man won a $1,000,000 prize playing the Triple Red 777 game. The man won the prize from a $10 scratch-off ticket. The winner, Tomas Munoz, was born on the 7th of 1977 and considers 7 as his lucky number.
Munoz chose the lump sum payment of $600,000 instead of the $50,000 annuity over 20 years. After taxes, the lump sum payment is reduced to $396,060. Munoz bought the winning ticket at a market in Candor. The odds of winning the lottery were 1 in 1,465,160.
