New Jersey Governor Aims to Reopen Atlantic City Casinos by July 4th
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy stated that the state is working to reopen casinos in Atlantic City by July 4th. New Jersey is the last U.S. state to reopen its casinos after the coronavirus pandemic. Atlantic City is the closest gaming zone to New York, which is currently the epicenter of infections in the U.S.
The protests and unrest caused by the murder of George Floyd by police pose a threat to the gaming business in the region.
Despite these challenges, Governor Murphy is determined to create favorable conditions for the reopening of casinos, even if it means implementing certain restrictions.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
