Meet the 'New Isildur': Portuguese Poker Prodigy Jose 'Girah' Macedo

In late January, rumors began circulating about a 'new Isildur' in the poker world. The story started when a user named LookingForProdigy on the 2+2 forum posted about a 16-year-old Portuguese player who turned a 30 euro deposit into 2.5 million euros in just a year. LookingForProdigy mentioned that he had received this information from a well-known trainer who charges over $300 per hour.

Haseeb 'INTERNETPOKERS' Kureishi, a respected figure in the poker community, confirmed the story. He mentioned that the player, named Jose, studied poker for 3 hours daily and progressed from micro-limits to high-stakes games. Kureishi also noted that Jose was very intelligent and dedicated to the game.

Daniel Cates, another prominent poker player, also supported the story. He stated that he had mentored Jose and saw his potential. Cates expressed his intention to help Jose become one of the best players in the game. Jose 'Girah' Macedo himself confirmed his identity and shared his poker results, but declined to reveal his usernames on poker sites.
