Negreanu vs. Hellmuth: High-Stakes Poker Battle Set for March
Daniel Negreanu will face Phil Hellmuth in a high-stakes poker battle in March.
Phil Hellmuth criticized Daniel Negreanu's strategy after his loss to Douglas Polk. Negreanu responded to Hellmuth's criticism by challenging him to a match, calling him a "chicken" who is afraid.
The poker battle will be part of the High Stakes Feud show, where Hellmuth previously defeated Antonio Esfandiari. Each player will contribute $50,000, and the loser of each round can continue if they double the prize pool within three days. The match will end when one player concedes defeat. PokerShares has started taking bets on the winner, with odds of 1.60 for Negreanu and 2.42 for Hellmuth.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
