Nebraska and Virginia Residents Vote to Legalize Casinos
Residents of Nebraska and Virginia have voted to legalize casinos. In Nebraska, casinos will be legal statewide, while in Virginia, they will be permitted in four cities: Norfolk, Bristol, Danville, and Portsmouth. Caesars Entertainment has plans to build a casino in Danville, Virginia, and Hard Rock International plans to open a casino in Bristol, Virginia.
The tax revenue from gambling in Nebraska will be used to reduce property taxes, with estimated revenues around $65 million. Casinos in Nebraska will be opened at racetracks and near highways in Lincoln, Omaha, Grand Island, Columbus, Sioux City, and Hastings.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
