Naseem Salem, a seasoned poker player from San Diego, won the $10,000 GGMillion$ no-limit hold’em event at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP), earning $1,089,964. This victory marked Salem’s first WSOP bracelet and his highest career earnings to date.
The event, held over four days at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, attracted 627 entries, each paying $10,000, resulting in a prize pool of $5,831,100. The top 95 finishers received a share of the prize pool, with several notable poker players making deep runs but falling short of the final table. Among them were Stephen Chidwick, Andrew Lichtenberger, Andrew Moreno, Thomas Eychenne, Barak Wisbrod, Michael ‘Texas Mike’ Moncek, Terrance Reid, Zdenek Zizka, Bobby James, and Max Neugebauer.
Salem's victory also significantly boosted his standings in the 2026 Card Player Player of the Year race, presented by CoinPoker. The 2,100 points from his win catapulted him into 62nd place, despite this being his first POY-qualified score of the year. Additionally, Salem earned 1,100 PokerGO Tour points, moving him into third place in that high-stakes-centric race.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
