Mike Matusow Triumphs Over Shaun Deeb in High-Stakes Poker Showdown
In an intense high-stakes poker duel, Mike Matusow defeated Shaun Deeb, securing a $10,000 profit. The match, which took place at the PokerGO studios in Las Vegas, was a winner-takes-all heads-up fight with each player contributing $10,000.
Shaun Deeb won the first nine hands but Matusow fought back to win the match. The duel was part of the undercard for the Negreanu-Persson High Stakes Duel IV, which will feature Daniel Negreanu against Eric Persson in the main event on May 8th and 9th.
The main event will see Daniel Negreanu face off against Eric Persson, the loudmouthed CEO of Maverick Gaming. Round 1 of their battle will cost each player $50,000, with the loser rematching for another $100k.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
