Michael Wang Wins PLO Championship at World Series of Poker

Michael Wang has made a significant mark at the World Series of Poker by winning the PLO championship with a $10,000 buy-in, earning $1,394,579. This victory marks his third bracelet, with the first two won in $5,000 hold'em tournaments.

Wang's journey to victory was filled with memorable moments. He commented that his first victory felt undeserved, while his second was more meaningful. On the penultimate day, Wang doubled Eric Seidel's stack and entered the final day with the third-largest stack of 8,025,000. Wang felt he was playing a freeroll after doubling his stack and did not feel any pressure.

Meanwhile, Martin Kabrhel won the Mini Main Event with a $1,000 buy-in, earning $843,140. Kabrhel is known for his active and engaging playing style, often interacting with opponents, dealers, and spectators. His active playing style led to a situation where a dealer mistakenly took John Ishak's cards, and Kabrhel called. Kuan Zhou, who finished 7th in a $50,000 PLO tournament, was the chip leader at the final table. Alex Foxen, who multitabled during the tournament, finished 7th, earning $182,983.
