Michael Rodrigues Wins First-Ever Badugi Bracelet at WSOP
Michael Rodrigues made history by winning the first-ever Badugi bracelet at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The event attracted 516 entries and a prizepool of $688,860.
Rodrigues' victory was a significant achievement, securing him a top prize of $144,678. This win is almost double his previous best, which was at this year’s EPT in Monaco where he came 2nd in the €5k 6-handed NLH for a €71,500 ($75,410) cash.
Yingui Li finished in second place, winning $89,415. Li was eliminated by Michael Rodrigues in the heads-up spot. Matt Vengrin was eliminated by Serhii Popovych. Brian Hastings was the bubble boy, exiting without a cash.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
