Maryland Man Turns Lucky Penny into $30,000 Lottery Win
A Talbot County man found a penny and bought a lottery ticket, winning $100. After the $100 win, the player bought a 30X Cash ticket and, surprisingly, won $30,000. The man purchased the winning ticket at Royal Farms on 32303 Queen Anne Highway in Queen Anne.
The retailer that sold the top prize-winning ticket will benefit from a $300 bonus. The man revealed that he had a habit of finding coins. Recently, the man was walking around a parking lot when he saw a penny with the head facing up. Collecting the penny, the man then decided to use it to purchase a scratch-off ticket.
The man will save his winnings. Each 30X Cash ticket costs $30 and grants players a chance to win a prize between $30 and $30,000. The popular ticket debuted on September 18 this year, offering 320 top prizes of $30,000 each. After the most recent win, there are 301 top prizes of $30,000 each still in play. Within the lower prize tiers, players can win various prizes of $5,000, $500 and $200, among other smaller sums.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
