Lukas Pazma and Omar Eljach Win First Two Bracelets at WSOPE 2023
The World Series of Poker Europe is underway at King's Resort in Rozvadov, with 15 gold bracelets up for grabs. Lukas Pazma and Omar Eljach have already secured their wins, with the latter returning to defend his WSOPE Main Event title after a breakout year in 2022.
Lukas Pazma won the €350 NLH Opener event, which attracted 3,503 entries, easily beating the 2,554 seen last year. The prize pool of €1,048,272 was distributed among the top 499 finishers, with the top 12 receiving a bonus €10,350 ticket for the 2023 WSOP Europe Main Event. By the time the final table was set, Pazma had more than double the chips of his nearest rival and swiftly defeated his opponents. The Slovakian has been on a winning streak over the last six months, including a third-place finish in the WPT Prime Liechtenstein Main Event and several good cashes at King's Resort. He also secured three tickets for the WSOPE Main Event.
Omar Eljach, from Sweden, won the €550 PLO 8-Max event, taking down 719 entries and earning €65,900. His performance in the late stage was exceptional, starting the final table as the big stack and dominating his opponents. This win brings his live tournament earnings to $2,131,496. After his victory, Eljach expressed his excitement for the bracelet, stating that he was more thrilled about the bracelet than the money.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
