WSOP Announcer Lon McEachern Wins Big in Seniors Event
Lon McEachern, a well-known commentator for the World Series of Poker (WSOP), won his first WSOP Circuit ring and $15,008 in the $400 Seniors event at the WSOP Circuit stop at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. He bested 181 other players in the 50-and-over tournament.
This win marks McEachern's largest career cash, surpassing an $11,598 score he achieved in another WSOP Circuit event a decade ago. McEachern started at the middle of the pack but quickly moved to the top of the leaderboard. He eventually won on a final hand of Ace-8 all-in versus Ace-4.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
