Ksenia Polezhaeva: 'Victory Comes When You're Ready for It'
Ksenia Polezhaeva recently won a poker tournament without sharing the prize. She and her friends celebrated the victory by gathering at a rented house outside the city, enjoying barbecue and good company.
Ksenia attributes the success of poker players in Perm to the strong community and continued play despite casino closures. She started playing poker after being inspired by Ivan Demidov's win and initially struggled to understand poker strategies but eventually became proficient.
Ksenia found her niche in head-to-head SNG tournaments. She played in a cartel on Stars at the $30 limit and had good relationships with the $60-$100 cartel. Ksenia took a break from online poker before giving birth but returned to offline play in Sochi. She joined Gleb Tremzin's fund as an administrator and later focused on recruiting new players. However, she left the fund due to burnout and differing views on development.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
