Joey Weissman Wins Fifth PGT Trophy at Poker Masters

Joey Weissman won event no. 3 of the 2026 Poker Masters, securing the fifth PokerGO Tour trophy of his career and $218,400 as the champion. This win, which pushed his career earnings past $11 million, came just days after Weissman secured his second career World Series of Poker bracelet as part of the ongoing fall WSOP Online series.

Weissman sat in fourth place out of six remaining players on day 2 of this $10,500 no-limit hold’em event, looking up at chip leader Jeremy Ausmus, a six-time WSOP bracelet winner, eight-time PGT champion, and the 2025 PGT $1 Million Championship winner. The sextet of contenders was all that remained of a field that reached 78 entries.

Ausmus was quickly knocked from his chip-leading perch, as Daniyal Gheba earned an early double through him with a turned king-high spade flush. Weissman ultimately claimed the honor of completing Ausmus’ fall from grace. Linde secured a sizable double-up through Wilson, only to run pocket queens into pocket kings against Gheba in what became a 90 big blind pot. Gheba, now in possession of a big chip lead, flopped trip tens with Q♠10♥ to oust Wilson, who was down to less than two big blinds. Weissman took the monster preflop holding up against Gheba’s pocket sevens and doubled up into a massive chip lead after flopping a set. Shorr shoved 14 big blinds from the small blind with Q♥9♥. Weissman came along with a dominating A♦9♠ in the big blind. On the very first hand of heads-up action, Weissman shoved with Q♣8♣ and Gheba called off his last 11 big blinds with Q♠3♠.
