Jason Mercier Wins Second WSOP Bracelet of 2016, Fifth Overall
Jason Mercier has had a remarkable run at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2016. He recently won the Evento #24: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, securing his second bracelet of the year and the fifth of his career. This victory came just days after his win in the Evento #16: $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship (No-Limit).
Mercier's impressive performance includes a second-place finish in the Evento #20: $10,000 Seven Card Razz Championship. In just seven days, he has achieved two bracelet wins and a second-place finish in three high-stakes tournaments.
Adding to the excitement, Vanessa Selbst challenged Mercier to win three bracelets at the WSOP 2016 with odds of 180 to 1. If Mercier wins one more bracelet, he stands to gain $1.8 million. Selbst attempted to cancel the bet after Mercier's first bracelet win but was declined.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
