The Untold Story of Hollywood's Biggest Poker Game

The book Billion Dollar Hollywood Heist: The A-List Kingpin and the Poker Ring that Brought Down Tinseltown by Houston Curtis was published in March 2023. The book details the high-stakes poker game that took place in Hollywood from 2005 to 2009, organized by Tobi Maguire and Houston Curtis.

Celebrity Involvement

The game was held at the Viper Room and the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills, attracting celebrities such as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Nick Cassavetes. The game was organized to maximize winnings from unsuspecting participants, with the goal of winning as much as possible from what they referred to as 'suckers'.

Molly Bloom was involved in the game but her role was mainly to distract attention and handle logistics. Tobi Maguire's wife, Jen Meyer, was the dealer and was encouraged to take tips from the players. The game moved to the Viper Room in 2005 due to Tobi Maguire's discomfort with hosting it at home. Molly Bloom's involvement in the game was initially to serve drinks and later to handle phone calls.
