Hannes Jeschka Wins $542,000 at 2022 Mediterranean Poker Party Main Event
Hannes Jeschka from Germany has won the 2022 Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party (MPP) Main Event in North Cyprus, securing a lifetime best $542,000 top prize after a three-way deal. The Main Event at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel attracted 1,032 entries, creating a total prize pool of $4,747,200. The tournament required three starting flights and three further days of play to determine the winners.
Antanas Guoga, known as Tony G, was eliminated just before the final table. However, he bounced back to win the $10k title just a couple of days later. By the time the 4th day of play and the final table came around, Jeschka had a middling stack, while Russia’s Arsenii Karmatckii and England’s Steven Warburton were among the most experienced at such a high level.
Steven Warburton finished third, Arsenii Karmatckii finished second, and Hannes Jeschka finished first.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
