FullTilt Speeds Up Tournaments with Rush Poker Technology

FullTilt has adapted the Rush Poker technology for tournament play, allowing players who fold to immediately move to a new table with new cards. This technology, initially introduced for cash games in January, has now been extended to tournaments. The program identifies two players at the new table who have not posted blinds for the longest time, eliminating unfairness. The remaining seats at the table are determined randomly, increasing the chances of lucky players sitting on the button.

There is no hand-to-hand action during the bubble or at other prize increases. Additionally, players have less time to think preflop when the number of participants decreases to thirty. The Rush Poker technology will be included in the FTOPS series with three tournaments: one turbo, one PLO knockout, and one rebuy tournament.

The first Rush Poker tournaments were held on Friday. In the Saturday schedule, there are three such tournaments: a $5.50, a $11, and a $15 super turbo knockout with 300 chips in the starting stack. The Rush Poker tournaments are marked with the letter 'R' in the FullTilt lobby.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
