Full Tilt Poker Issues New Statement Amid Financial Turmoil
Full Tilt Poker has issued a new statement via the site Subject: Poker, addressing recent financial issues and future plans. The company sent a press release to PokerNews, marking a shift in their communication strategy. Full Tilt was not prepared for the U.S. government's actions on April 15, known as 'Black Friday'.
Before 'Black Friday', the U.S. government had confiscated around $115 million from players' accounts in American banks over two years. Additionally, a key financial partner of Full Tilt stole approximately $42 million from the poker room. Full Tilt has been actively seeking external investors to stabilize the company and repay players. At least six groups, including hedge funds and individual investors, visited Dublin to assess the situation.
Full Tilt is working with an additional financial consultant through an investment banking group. The company intends to fully repay players and regain trust in their operations. Full Tilt's license was revoked on June 29, and the poker room ceased operations. Despite this, Full Tilt plans to issue more statements detailing the actions of the U.S. Department of Justice and the situation with player account funds.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
