Full Tilt Poker Launches Mini Series of Poker (MSOP) Online

Full Tilt Poker is organizing the Mini Series of Poker (MSOP) for the second year in a row. The MSOP series will run from May 28 to July 11. This online poker series is designed to mirror the World Series of Poker (WSOP) but with buy-ins that are 100 times smaller. The series will feature 57 tournaments, providing players with a more accessible and affordable poker experience.

The most expensive tournament in the series will be a $500+$35 buy-in event on May 28. The cheapest tournament will be a $5.50 buy-in no-limit hold'em event, also on May 28. A prestigious six-max hold'em tournament with a $266 buy-in will take place on June 30. The main event of the series with a $109 buy-in will take place on July 4.

The total guaranteed prize pool for the series is $3,000,000, with $600,000 guaranteed for the main event. Winners of the MSOP series will receive exclusive champion watches from Full Tilt instead of bracelets. Additionally, players have the chance to win a free seat to the main event of the WSOP-2011 by topping the MSOP leaderboard.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
