Fedor Holz Loses Big Pot to Viktor Kudinov's Hero Call at Triton Final Table
In a thrilling hand during the 2022 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series, Fedor Holz raised from the small blind for 240,000 with 6d-4c. Viktor Kudinov called with ten-high (10c-9s) from the big blind. The flop of Qh-2c-Kh pairs up neither player, with Holz electing not to c-bet and his Russian opponent checks as well. The Ks on the turn pairs the board, prompting Holz to bet 175,000. Kudinov made the call, increasing the pot to 930,000. The ace of clubs on the river again helps neither player, with Holz needing to bet to have a chance at winning the pot. He fired 390,000 in chips in the middle. Kudinov thinks it over, using a time bank, before making the call with only 10-high! His hero call was rewarded with a pot of 1,710,000.
Holz went on to a 5th place finish in the tournament, adding $272,300 to his lifetime earnings that now stand at $36,288,409. Kudinov was felted in 7th place, good for a $164,000 payday.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
