Erik Seidel Falls Short of 11th WSOP Bracelet in Thrilling PLO Event
Erik Seidel, a poker legend, narrowly missed his 11th WSOP bracelet in the $3,000 Six-Max PLO event. Seidel got heads-up for a shot at his 11th career WSOP victory on the penultimate day of play. Joshua Wang, a player from China, defeated Erik Seidel heads-up, denying the 66-year-old poker legend an 11th career WSOP title.
Joshua Wang won his first career WSOP bracelet and a $407,137 payday in the $3,000 Six-Max PLO event. Wang's victory came after a dominant performance where he eliminated several top players, including Seidel, Robert Mizrachi, Chris Vitch, and Ding Biao.
In another exciting development, Garrett Dwire won the $500 buy-in Summer Saver no-limit hold’em event, earning a $210,000 first-place prize. Dwire outlasted a field of 4,622 runners to secure his first WSOP bracelet, marking a significant achievement in his poker career.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
