Finnish Dominance: Eelis Pärssinen Wins $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Tournament
In March, the PokerGo series in Las Vegas featured exclusive Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments. Daniel Negreanu won the first tournament for $5,100 and finished in 6th place in the $15,100 tournament. However, the true stars of the series were Finnish players Eelis Pärssinen and Samuli Sipilä, who each won two tournaments out of ten played during the series. Sipilä also finished in 2nd place in the main tournament.
Eelis Pärssinen's victory in the $15,100 tournament was particularly notable. He started the final table with 855,000 chips and systematically eliminated his opponents. Erik Seidel, who finished in 9th place earning $37,350, was one of the first to be eliminated by Pärssinen. Seidel doubled his chips to 1 million after a successful hand but was eventually eliminated in 6th place, earning $62,250.
Pärssinen's aggressive playstyle allowed him to eliminate key players such as Alex Foxen, Michael Dwek, João Simão, and Lou Garza. His strategic moves and strong hands ensured his dominance throughout the tournament, culminating in his victory.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
