Doyle Brunson Launches New Blog After DoylesRoom Split
Doyle Brunson, known as the 'Godfather of Poker,' has launched a new blog at doylebrunson.com after parting ways with DoylesRoom. In May 2011, Brunson ended his contract with DoylesRoom, where he had been a prominent figure for about six years. His new blog was announced in late January 2012, marking a fresh start for the poker legend.
For the year 2012, Brunson has outlined his plans to focus on tournaments primarily in Las Vegas and California. He mentioned that he might participate in the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) in Cannes if his health permits. Brunson also expressed his intention to seriously assess his skills at the highest level of poker, including mixed games and No-Limit Hold'em (NLH) against top players worldwide.
In addition to his poker plans, Brunson shared some personal health updates. He revealed that he has developed an allergy to most meats, except certain types of fish. This dietary change has led him to consider exploring vegan culture. Furthermore, Brunson has been playing cash games in Las Vegas, with stakes ranging from $300/600 to $600/1,200. He mentioned that the poker scene in Las Vegas is picking up, with daily cash games attracting sufficient players.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
